Zen Noodle Bar is named after my dad, Zen. Our noodle shop was established in 2014, however, our family’s story started much earlier than that.  Growing up as a first generation Chinese American in early 2000, I was very lucky to have two parents that can cook delicious Chinese comfort food. My parents’ cooking accompanied me through all stages of my life. Whether it’s Pork Buns for my happy days, Spicy Wonton for my sad days, Nian Gao (sticky rice cake) for my celebratory days, or Ja Jang Noodle for my lonely days. To me, these staples dishes were much more than just nourishment. It’s a piece of home. And for a long time, I wished to share a little bit of my happiness and home with more people. So this is where Zen Noodle Bar came to form. So whether it’s your good day and you skip in, or your bad day where you waddle in. At Zen, we welcome you to a little taste of our home.
